Thermomineral waters of Greece: geochemical characterization

Expert opinion document: “Electrical impedance tomography: applications from the intensive care unit and beyond”
2022
Mechanical ventilation is a life-saving technology, but it can also inadvertently induce lung injury and increase morbidity and mortality. Currently, there is no easy method of assessing the impact that ventilator settings have on the degree of lung inssflation. Computed tomography (CT), the gold standard for visually monitoring lung function, can provide detailed regional information of the lung. Unfortunately, it necessitates moving critically ill patients to a special diagnostic room and involves exposure to radiation. A technique introduced in the 1980s, electrical impedance tomography (EIT) can non-invasively provide similar monitoring of lung function. However, while CT provides infor…
Tiesības uz dzīvību eitanāzijas aspektā
2020
On thermoeconomics of energy systems at variable load conditions: integrated optimization of plant design and operation
2007
Abstract Thermoeconomics has been assuming a growing role among the disciplines oriented to the analysis of energy systems, its different methodologies allowing solution of problems in the fields of cost accounting, plant design optimisation and diagnostic of malfunctions. However, the thermoeconomic methodologies as such are particularly appropriate to analyse large industrial systems at steady or quasi-steady operation, but they can be hardly applied to small to medium scale units operating in unsteady conditions to cover a variable energy demand. In this paper, the fundamentals of thermoeconomics for systems operated at variable load are discussed, examining the cost formation process an…
2013
The effect of electromagnetically induced transparency is observed, using nanocelland microcell. The EIT-resonance with good parameters (high contrast and small FWHM) is obtained in thick cells. The EIT-resonance splitting in magnetic field is observed for the cases of D1-line of 85Rb and 85Rb. The theoretical model, explaining the EIT-resonance components frequency shift dependence on magnetic field strength is presented. The theoretical and experimental results are compared and good agreement is shown. Also the EIT-resonance behavior in hyperfine Paschen-Back regime is presented and explained. For the first time the N-type resonance in microcell is observed. Good parameters of theN-type r…
A CONFIGURAÇÃO INOVADORA DO PRINCÍPIO DA BOA ADMINISTRAÇÃO ENTRE PRIVADOS E AUTORIDADES PÚBLICAS NA UNIÃO EUROPÉIA
2017
I rapporti con Vienna: Selvatico, l'abate Pietro Mugna e Rudolf Eitelberger von Edelberg
2016
This article focuses on Pietro Selvatico's relationship with the Vienna academy of fine arts, particularly with the art historian Rudolf Eitelberger von Edelberg.
2019
The essay deals with Rudolf Eitelberger's lecture series on the theory of the fine arts in the context of contemporary aesthetic and art-theoretical conceptions. Particular attention is paid to the works of Carl Friedrich von Rumohr, Otfried Müller, Franz Ficker and Franz Kugler, whose significance in Viennese art life is examined in detail. The appendix contains a critical edition of Eitelberger's lecture manuscript (Wien, Wienbibliothek im Rathaus).
2014
This article investigates Rudolf Eitelberger von Edelberg's (1817-1885) writings on Friulian monuments and questions how the investigations of «peripheral» areas strengthened the methodological approach to art history in the early years of the Vienna school of art history.
